Most people want to be eco-friendly but for the most part at least currently sometimes going green technlogoy is not financially a good idea currently.I have looked at eco-friendlyand green technology alternatives like igo green charger and have adapted where it makes financial sense. So far I have also installed solar panels on my home but while looking for a electric car I find the cost doesnt justify it for me. While I am passionate about making green choices and opting for green technology whenever possible it is up to people like you and I to spread awareness and let the companies know there is a demand. Your website looks popular and I think you can help influence society with your insight and green technology tips. By the way I found your site by searching " Air-Conditioned Pedestrian Network: Another Step towards Green Dubai - FlashyDubai.com " and you were the first result. So I think your website is a perfect platform to discuss ideas that are thought provoking to help influence your readers to go green. - Good luck with your site, you deserve all the success! Please continue to talk about more eco-tips/green tech, every idea helps us get closer day by day!

Dubai looks like a very expensive place. Unless you know how to pay less taxes then most probably you can have some savings. Many of my friends who work there have good income but they never really have enough savings.

Air conditioned pedestrian network surely is a great advantage for mobility amongst pedestrian. This ensures protection form the heat while encouraging people to do healthy walk around the city. The issue of reducing the use of vehicles which uses much gas is reduced although the electrical cost of running the air-conditioning units and escalators should also increase the demand in producing electricity. A green solution to electrical energy generation should also be incorporated to this project to be totally green!

FutureLink/GreenParking Contribution in Green Dubai and continuously supporting any Green step towards Green Dubai.

Our GreenParking System Concept

The Emirates and its Leaders visions are currently leading the way to make the U.A.E. and the Gulf region the Centre of Sustainable Development. Dubai has already introduced Green Building Standards. Abu Dhabi is designing the world´s first carbon-neutral waste city, Masdar, where the International Renewable Energy Agencies HQ will be located.
FutureLink, proud to be a local Company partnering with very reputable International Suppliers, is trying to contribute to this Green vision and Green Building Standards, by introducing a Comprehensive Green Parking Concept, the first world-wide.

So far there have been many isolated Products that could contribute to Sustainable Parking, but not a total Green Concept.

Some Examples of the current unawareness with respect to Sustainable Parking:

Developers ask their partners not to print emails unless really necessary but install at the same time Parking Systems at their Malls and Buildings based on Toxic-Waste Paper-Tickets.
Consultants design Car Parks for Hundreds of Millions, but do not consider intelligent Parking Guidance Systems to improve economical and operational efficiency.
Owners of Open-Area Car Parks do not optimise the use of their property, which could be utilised for sustainable energy recharging.
Slow Moving Barriers and outdated Mag-Stripe Readers are still being installed, causing Traffic Jams and Noise Pollution although Contactless Technology has long been available.
"Green" does not mean "Expensive", on the contrary: Green Parking would not only contribute to make our Parking Environment more pleasant, but would also reward its users economically
