Aquaventure was opened in 2008, it combines slides, lazy rivers, and rapids into one large water scape. The centerpiece of the attraction is the Power Tower which contains four water slides. The slides include The Abyss, The Drop, The Falls and The Surge. Aquaventure also includes one of the Atlantis’ most popular attractions.

The resort consists of two towers linked by a bridge, with a total of 1539 rooms. There are two monorail (single rail) stations connecting the resort to the main section of the Palm Jumeirah islands.

The seven stars resort includes a water Aquaventure theme park, a conference center, and a huge space. The resort also has a Dolphin Bay in which guests can swim and interact with dolphins at Atlantis.

The Resort was well known for keeping a young female whale-shark in its large aquarium. It was released in March 2010

The Atlantis Hotel includes a convention center. This is where individuals or corporations can hold meetings, parties, and banquets.

Lindsay Lohan and her lesbian girlfriend Sam Ronson are looking to buy a $3m home in Dubai – right near where Victoria and David Beckham live

Lohan and Ronson – who were recently spotted arguing at Miami International Airport – have been house hunting on the Palm Island development.

The couple are said to have fallen in love with the plush resort after Sam – a club DJ – did a gig at the opening of the super-luxurious Atlantis hotel.

A source tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “Lindsay and Sam loved the tacky glitziness of Dubai. “There is so much money and opulence out there it really impressed Lindsay – she can be quite materialistic like that. Despite her fair skin, Lindsay loves the beach and sunshine.

“And with the property market over there probably the only place where there still seems to be a boom, she thinks it will be a wise investment.

“There isn’t as much paparazzi either – although that’s sure to change once Lindsay and Sam become regulars on the scene.”

Lindsay may also be looking to home in on Posh when she moves in. At a recent party she giggled: “I love her hair. She looks really hot at the moment.”

However, she must be very carefull – Homosexuality is illegal in the strict United Arab Emirates state. In August a female couple were put in the slammer for two months for just having a snog on the beach.

A building boom in the emirate has led to a whole host of chart breakers, in categories including highest apartment, biggest mall, and one of the world’s most unique resorts.

Tourism is also being promoted at a staggering rate with the construction of Dubailand and other projects that include the making of mammoth shopping malls, theme parks, resorts, stadiums and other various tourist Attractions. Burj Tower

Burj Tower is the largest skyscraper in the world which is currently under construction in Dubai. Burj Tower is the centerpiece of the Gulf regions most prestigious urban development, entitled Downtown Dubai.
Burj is an Arabic word which means ‘Tower’. So, Burj Dubai means ‘Dubai Tower’ or ‘Tower of Dubai’. Its exact height hasn’t been disclosed but it is suggested that it will be over 700 meters tall. Its design was influenced by the six petal desert flower as well as incorporating patterns found within Islamic architecture.

The Palm Islands

The Palm Islands also known as the Palm Dubai and The Palms. The Palm Islands are the three man-made islands in the world. These Palm Islands are built in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Palm islands are considered as the Eighth Wonder of the World.
These islands are built in a shape of a date palm tree and consist of a trunk, a crown with fronds, and are surrounded by a crescent island that acts as a breakwater.

Hydropolis

Hydropolis is the world’s first luxury underwater hotel. It is under construction. Joachim Hauser is the developer and designer of the hotel. He said that Hydropolis is not a project. It is a passion. It has already been compared to both a jellyfish and a sea turtle.
The land on which this project Hydropolis is being built belongs to His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Rotating Skyscrappers

The Arab city which has amazing and impressive buildings like palm-shaped islands and the sail-shaped hotel is now going to build a rotating skyscraper.
Rotating Skyscraper is an eclectic skyline and it is a 30-story apartment tower that revolves on its base. The tower will use the Persian Gulf’s abundant sunshine to power the building’s slow rotation that brings it full circle once a week.

Dubai Sports City

Dubai Sports City is the world’s first purpose-built sports city. Dubai Sports city will incorporate state-of-the-art sporting venues and academies along with residential and commercial developments.

Dubailand is a part of Dubai Holding. Dubailand is an entertainment complex which is under development in Dubai. Dubailand is a tourism, real estate, hospitality, entertainment, leisure and retail mega project.
Development of Dubailand is divided into six theme worlds. The development is expected to be a full featured city. It is being managed by Dubai Government’s Dubai Development and Investment Authority and is being built to secure Dubai as the premier tourist destination for the Middle East.

Atlantis, the Palm is a resort on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a joint venture between Kerzner International Limited and Istithmar PSJC and was completed in September 2008. The architectural design is based heavily on the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.

Gordon Ramsay is the world’s highest-earning chef with a business empire soon to be worth £100 million, Gordon is planning to move to world most expensive properties in Palm Island in Dubai. There’s just one little issue that could give him trouble. The United Arab Emirates has strict rules which outlaw swearing and making rude gestures in public and can result in a six month jail sentence.

“I’m going to move to Dubai full-time in five years. That’s my ambition.” said Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word star Gordon, 41, who will emigrate with wife Tana, their four kids and his mum. “I’m looking at a plot at the end of one of the Palm Island branches. Mum’s in her sixties and she loves it,” he added.

Gordon Ramsay gets £157,000 an episode for US versions of Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares and he is expected to earn up to £15 million this year out of the kitchen from television, books and endorsements.

With the world’s lowest tax rates—ranging from 5 to zero per cent—Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates, is a magnet for millionaires and Gordon will be neighbours with the Beckhams, Rod Stewart and F1 star Michael Schumacher.

“Dubai is booming now,” said Gordon. “Everyone’s saying it’s going to be the next California or Monaco, because of its luxuriousness.There’s a real buzz about Dubai. I’m proud to be a part of it.”
