The island is located in Beauford County, 95 miles south of the city of Charleston, and 20 miles to the north of Savannah, Georgia. Get on I95 (coastal Interstate 95) and then head east near Hardeeville on route 278. If you are visiting by airplane, USAirways Express, and Delta Connection service Hilton Head Island Airport. Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is around an hour away. Seven airlines service it. Once you have crossed the bridge over to the island, Route 278 is transformed into the major Business Route that takes you around the island and ends at Sea Pines Circle. Greenwood Drive can then be taken to Sea Pines Plantation’s southern end.
