Pet-Friendly Places in Dubai for Dog Walk

It is important to bear in mind that there is strict policing of where pets can and can’t be in the streets of Dubai, but not to worry, there are plenty of pet-friendly places in Dubai you can take your dog for a lovely walk! Read on to find out where they are!

1. The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah

The Pointe on Palm Jumeriah has recently started to allow residents to come with their puppies. The beach is also open for dogs, but they must remain on leash at all times and are not allowed in the water. It is important to note that authorities are strict about fines so if you want to avoid any surprises follow the rules and be sure to bring your own waste bags. Around the area, there are also various cafes and restaurants that are very welcoming of pups, like Chicago Meatpackers, who love dogs so much they’ll give you a 15% discount if you come with your pet!

2. The Greens

As the name suggests, The Greens have beautiful lawns right at the heart of the city. If you’re a resident there, you’ll be able to access a cordoned-off section where you can walk your dog leash-free! The Greens also have special dog waste bins and a lovely dog park!

3. The Desert

If you want your dog to get some exercise in, the desert surrounding Dubai is a great option to let your pup run wild! Particular places of interest may be the Arabian Ranches, Mirdif and Al Qudra, where you’ll find acres upon acres of open space.

4. Irish Village

Known as the OG of dog-friendly areas in Dubai, the Irish Village will welcome you and your pet with open arms, as long as they’re on a leash at all times. You’ll be able to sit at most cafes and restaurants around the area with your puppy and they’ll more often than not offer your pet a bowl of water whilst they get some rest!

5. Warsan 3

In this location, you will find a large grassy area where you’ll be able to walk your dog, leash-free even! To find it, head to the Birds and Pets Market, it’s just across from it!

6. Golden Mile on the Palm Jumeriah

Sam David, travel writer at Eliteassignmenthelp and Uktopwriters tells us- “the peaceful strip of greenery on the Golden Mile is a fantastic place to walk your dog. The surrounding shops and cafes are also dog-friendly, places like the Tap House are ideal for a meal after a long walk with your pet!”.

7. Burj Park

If you want to see the Dubai Fountains and walk your dog at the same time, be sure to take your pet with you to Burj Park. You’ll be allowed to walk your dog but you must be mindful of walking on the pavement only and not the grass!

8. Springs and Meadows

Springs and Meadows are well known for being a pet-friendly neighborhood, and you don’t have to be a resident to enjoy a walk with your dog around these ends!

9. JLT

Other than the central JLT park, where dogs are not allowed, all other areas of JLT allow dogs! Why not try UBK whilst you’re there? It’s a very popular bar that’s also dog friendly!

10. Els Club

“If you’re a fan of golf and green spaces, Els Club is for you”- says Lina Borj, a lifestyle blogger at Bestbritishessays and Revieweal who recommends killing two birds with one stone when hanging out with your furry friends by hitting up a pet-friendly golf club!
