With an average price tag of $7,151 per square metre, property in Dubai is the fifteenth most expensive in the world, according to a recent study.

But it is still cheap compared to Monte Carlo where a top-end apartment costs on average $47,578 per square metre – almost seven times as much as Dubai.

A foreign student and family went for a stroll in the desert!
Their car was not a 4X4 so they parked it and decided to walk.

Meanwhile HH Sheikh Mohammad was driving by and saw a car parked in the desert with footprints. He figured he would follow the prints to see if everyone is ok.

The Amazing sight up there this morning was totally unbelievable with the snow-capped Ras Al Khaimah’s mountain and the entire area covered with fresh, dazzling white snow. The snowfall started at 3pm on Friday afternoon and heavy snowfall began at 8 pm and continued till midnight, covering the entire area in a thick blanket of snow.

Al Sufouh Tram will become operational in 2012, complementing Dubai Metro with an equally trendy and comfortable mode of public transport.

Construction of the first phase of the ambitious project has started, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Tuesday.

The project, costing nearly Dh4 billion, is one of the most important projects of the RTA after Dubai Metro and will be completed by 2012, it said.
